Fun facts about the Fish

Fish have been swimming Earth's waters for over 500 million years, predating even the dinosaurs. They communicate through low-frequency sounds, vibrations, and even light pulses. The lateral line along a fish's flank detects pressure changes, giving them a sixth sense for nearby movement. There are more species of fish than all other vertebrates combined.

Carving the Fish

The Fish has a clean, simple silhouette — one of the most forgiving animals in the Whittle puzzle set. Its shape translates well to broad strokes with the gouge.

Focus on clearing the corners first, then work inward with the chisel to refine the outline. Even beginners can achieve Apprentice rank with a steady approach.
